Dr. Colin Hughes, DMD
Colin graduated in 1991 from the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan. Colin was an associate in Saskatoon for one year before moving to Kelowna and opening Creekside Dental Clinic with his wife, Dr. Gillian Rychjohn, his sister and brother-in-law Dr’s Darcy Penkala and Todd Penkala. He loves practicing in this unique family owned group practice.
Colin received his accreditation for Intravenous Sedation in 2006 at Portland State University in Oregon which he finds a valuable asset in his general dentistry practice that includes the placement and restoration of dental implants, extraction of wisdom teeth and root canals.
Away from dentistry, Colin is an avid golfer, enjoys road biking and his time snowboarding with his family. He also enjoys foreign travel with his wife and two girls learning as much as they can from the areas they explore. He also volunteers his time to the less fortunate by volunteering at the Kelowna Gospel Mission Dental Clinic and participating in the University of British Columbia dental resident mentoring program at the Gospel Mission Dental Clinic.
